Chocolate Mint Smoothie

Chocolate Mint Smoothie - Healthy Life BeginsAre you looking for a healthy raw recipe that you can use to pick you up and give you energy? This delicious smoothie does just that with energizing cacao, protein, and sweet bananas!

2 cups of your favorite nut mylk

3 small frozen bananas

1-2 tablespoons of raw cacoa or cocoa powder

2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil.

 

Blend all ingredients including the oil in your Vitamix® on the low variable setting.  Use your tamper to mash the frozen bananas.  Add more mylk or a frozen banana to increase or decrease its thickness.  Once you have your desired thickness it’s time to savor the flavors.

Enjoy! 

TIP:  I have also used raw cocoa powder and found the flavor very pleasing. Be careful with the peppermint oil; it can be very overpowering.
